For non-UI designers, at least.

I’ve been a Figma fanboy for 4-5 years. It was my go-to board for brand design systems, storyboards, moodboards, smart (responsive) social templates, and lately even CMYK print work, with PrinTriX power-ups, instead of InDesign or Illustrator.

It has been pure gold for remote teams. Or for when brand/marketing teams are working in parallel with the UI/UX team.

One shared space.

Seamless sync.

No silos.

But last night at 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗯𝗲 𝗠𝗔𝗫 launched the killer move 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗯𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, and for non-product design players, the game has flipped. Winner takes all.

𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗯𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝘃𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝗺𝗮: 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹.

 𝟭. 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝘃𝗮𝘀 → Adobe Boards: endless playground—drag, remix, dream without limits. Figma: huge, but there is an edge to the map

 𝟮. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝟯𝗿𝗱-𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝗜 → Adobe Boards takes the win: Firefly + Google Veo/Imagen, Runway Aleph, OpenAI, Luma Ray, Flux, Pika, Moonvalley. Generate and remix live. Figma: reliance on 3rd party plugin community

 𝟯. 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗯𝗲 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗰 → Adobe Boards: plays perfectly with PSD/AI files, Adobe Stock, Photoshop/Express—live links, no export drama. (MOGRTS, After Effects, puppets? Coming soon.) No more Figma-to-AE conversion pain (Overlord, we thank you for all that you did to help here). Figma: clunky export process into Adobe

 𝟰. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 → Draw—both let teams edit, comment, and vibe together in real time.

 𝟱. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 & 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 → Draw again—both solid, like reliable teammates.

 𝟲. 𝗩𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰 → Adobe Boards: generates video clips on-board (Veo 3, Runway, Moonvalley). Figma: has always been frustrating—game over.

 𝟳. 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 → Adobe Boards: built for big ideas—moodboards, pitches, concepts flow freely. Figma: still the best for UI, but Adobe takes the lion's share on everything else

 𝟴. 𝗔𝗜 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 → Adobe Boards: train Firefly on your style or client brand (just 6–12 images!). Ethical, on-brand, instant. Figma: no chance.

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱? 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹:

 • 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 & 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 → AI builds your vision

 • 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 → video clips sequence your story

 • 𝗣𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗸𝘀 & 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝘀 → brilliant bond of visuals + clever copywriting craft

 • 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 → textures, colours, fonts mix like a winning hand

 • 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘀 → pin, remix, launch-ready

 • 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁/𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝘀 → PrinTriX? Not needed.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲? 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗯𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄
